The mission of the Pitt County AIDS Service Organization is to prevent the transmission of HIV through educational outreach and testing to Pitt County and the surrounding counties of Eastern North Carolina and to provide assistance to those living with, and affected by HIV/AIDS in our community.  In providing this outreach and these services we strive to treat all people with dignity, respect, and compassion.  

The TEDI BEAR Children’s Advocacy

Our name stands for Tender Evaluation, Diagnosis and Intervention for a BEtter Abuse Response.

The TEDI BEAR Children’s Advocacy is the largest children’s advocacy center in North Carolina and is accredited to provide a full spectrum of assessment, treatment, education, and prevention to for children, up to 18 years old, who may have been victims of child abuse or neglect.

Pitt Partners for Community Health

Pitt Partners for Health (PPH) is a community health improvement partnership with representatives from local churches, businesses, communities, and human service agencies. The Partnership collaboratively responds to the compelling health needs of Pitt County residents through assessment, resource identification and development, citizen advocacy, comprehensive planning and coordination of health intervention and prevention strategies.

The mission of the Pitt County Health Department is to protect, promote, and assure the health of all people in Pitt County. A number of services are provided to achieve this mission including clinical, Telehealth, and community. ​
